Woodward Peace Park

Creative, Progressive and Cutting Edge 

Peace Park is for the people. Inspired and designed by Danny Davis, Woodward Peace Park is built for intermediate and advanced riders, but with a little something for everyone. Transcending standard slopestyle and halfpipes, there's more flow, transition, room to breathe, and options for creative expression. Snow shredders on snowboards and skis are all welcome. Mid-season, Peace Park is the place to hang with your friends slashing berms or bobbing thru the rhythm sections, under the Lost Dutchman chairlift. Peace Park is perfect groups of multi-level skiers and riders who want to stay together during the day, yet still have a wide variety of terrain to enjoy.

 

Pacific Highline

The Center of Attention

The Pacific High Line is built for sending — and sending ‘er big. This is THE spot in Tahoe for shredders. Located east of the Accelerator lift, the Pacific High Line park is the center of attention at Boreal. Built with progression in mind, jumps range from XS to L with each designed to allow riders of all abilities to safely clear the deck. Always make sure you’re comfortable with speed before you paddle out to the lineup. Afterwards, the jump zone flows into a jib garden, making Pacific High Line nothing short of awesome.

 

 

Pop-Up Parks

Get It While You Can

An exclusive park build, in a zone on the mountain not typically used as a terrain park, that will only last ONE week. Tahoe's best skiers and snowboarders will session the park in a private shoot the night before it opens, so everyone can get an awesome preview of what's to come. Then, the next day the park is open to the public for 7 days of shredding before it's gone. Don't miss out on some of Tahoe's coolest park set-ups. The Boreal/Woodward Pop Up Park series hits the slopes 3 times each season.  Our crew always has the goods up their sleeves for creative builds.

Jibassic Park

The Original Terrain Park

The original terrain park turned Woodward Mountain Park.  Back in the day Boreal Mountain created one of the first terrain parks in the industry, introducing Jibassic Park in 1992 — a park riders paradise. After a brief hiatus, Jibassic was brought back to life in the 18/19 season returning to its roots and offering up jibs on jibs on jibs for riders to rip all day long. Look for this OG park on the riders left of the Accelerator lift.

 

Big Blue Park

First to Open, Last to Close

Early season shred sessions start in Big Blue. The first park to open, it's a riders dream come true when opening day hits. Located on the west side of South 40, Big Blue is shreddable from either the Accelerator Quad or for hot laps from the Castle Peak Quad. This front and center Woodward Mountain Park keeps the set-up fresh by combining street rails with endless transitions. Big Blue closes mid-season, but reopens in the spring for endless warm sunshiney days.

 

The Halfpipe

16ft of Fun

Not quite mini, but not quite 18', the Boreal / Woodward pipe is pure fun. Whether it's airing out for the first time or nailing that handplant, the 16-ft mini-pipe is the perfect place to dial in your tricks as guests watch in awe from the Accelerator lift. Oh, and the spring slashes are unbeatable.

 

Woodward Start Park

The Best Place To Learn

Located just steps from the Boreal Base Lodge, the Woodward Start Park is the perfect place for beginners to learn the basics. By introducing sculpted snow features, like bumps and berms, the Start Park uses terrain-based learning to give skiers and riders their first taste of transitional park riding.

Woodward Progression Park

Take It to the Next Level

After conquering the Start Park, Progression park is the next step. A perfect introduction to more freestyle terrain with lift accessed, ride-on features. By creating mini versions of rails, boxes and jumps the Woodward Progression Park provides a non-intimidating atmosphere for riders and skiers to begin developing new park skills. A perfect confidence builder for the soon-to-be jibber.

 

The Family Cross

Cruise-y + Cool

Imagine your favorite natural terrain gully, but groomed and enhanced with minimal to moderate shaping. The Woodward Family Cross zone is a low level family race track of mellow banked slalom turns to tame cross course features and built on a gentle enough pitch to prevent excess speed.

The Woodward Family Cross zone provides an enhanced on-mountain family experience for Boreal families by creating a fun run for skiers and riders of varying levels to enjoy together. You'll find a fun and flowing course with banked turns and rollers that use as much of the natural terrain as possible. Features are almost all made of only snow - with the possibility of finding just a couple jibs. The Family Cross is accessible from the California Cruiser chairlift
