Boreal Mountain Resort Celebrates the Thanksgiving Holidays with Skiing, Snowboarding, Skateboarding and More

Donner Summit, CA — Boreal Mountain Resort and Woodward Tahoe will open Saturday for the 2019-20 season. Boreal will welcome skiers and riders for its 55th season on snow, beginning with the first chair at 10:00 a.m. Winter arrived earlier this week, blanketing the resort with a fresh coat of natural snow, followed by cold temperatures, which our dedicated mountain operations staff made the most of. This combination allows Boreal to be one of the first resorts open in Northern California.

Known for early season operations and conditions, Boreal Mountain Resort will offer daily skiing and riding access with up to six terrain park features accessed by the Castle Peak Quad chairlift. Woodward Tahoe, now open daily to the public, will offer a wide variety of options for the weekend including free Classes & Clinics, plus the outdoor skateparks.

“Winter storms are rolling in and we are starting the 19/20 winter season at Boreal and Woodward Tahoe this weekend. We’re excited to see our community up here as we have some awesome new investments and programs:

1. New Parks – As the snow builds, we will be opening our new Woodward Mountain Park that brings to life what everyone loves about Woodward Tahoe’s features out to the snow.

2. Programming – Our guests are loving the new daily programming schedule at Woodward Tahoe with free classes and clinics that introduce new skills to everyone.

3.We can’t wait to see families up here for our unique Woodward Mountain Kids multi-week program, Tahoe’s only indoor/outdoor youth ski/ride experience.

4. Kids Ride FREE- To further our commitment to build the next generation of skiers, riders and action sports enthusiasts, we are including a free season pass for youth, 8 and under with every Adult Unlimited Season Pass purchased.

5. Lastly, we can’t wait to raise a glass in our new Hub and Spoke Bar and Restaurant that will offer a healthier “fast-casual” menu in a classic action sports themed setting.”

said Amy Ohran, President & General Manager, Boreal Mountain Resort and Woodward Tahoe.

Conditions permitting, Boreal Mountain Resort will continue to expand terrain coverage over the holiday week. Check www.rideboreal.com/dailyreport for the latest updates.
