During the winter of 1964-65, a small ski area named Boreal opened atop of Donner Summit. Almost half a century later, it’s a thriving ski & snowboard resort with a state-of-the-art action sports facility. Next year, Boreal celebrates its 50th birthday and we need your help…
“I learned to ski here in 1982. Now, I’m
teaching my children on the same trails!”
“My first turns on a snowboard were at Boreal.
Who knew snowboarding would become my life
and lead me all over the world.”
Fifty years is a long time and we’re excited to throw a season-long party to commemorate. We can’t think of a better way to tell the Boreal story than by the people who actually lived it. We’re all ears and can’t wait to hear your Boreal stories, history and experiences.
