WOODWARD TAHOE RE-OPENS FACILITES TO PUBLIC

Donner Summit, CA (August 23, 2013) – Woodward Tahoe, an innovative action sports training center and youth camp, re-opens their indoor and outdoor facilities to the public on Friday, August 23, 2013 for daily operations.  During the summer season, the campus is closed while Woodward Tahoe summer camps are in session.  The campus contains multiple facilities for skateboarding, BMX, dryland skiing, snowboarding, tumbling, cheer and parkour. For the ultimate access to Woodward Tahoe, The Bunker Pass provides excellent value and is on-sale for $289 at www.woodwardtahoe.com.

“We are introducing some amazing new learning tools this fall, including new indoor park skis/boards and expanded outdoor zones,” stated Amy Ohran, President and General Manager of Woodward Tahoe. “I’m thrilled that we don’t have to wait for snow to ski or ride,” continued Ohran.

At Woodward Tahoe, guests enjoy access to the 33,000 square foot indoor facility, dubbed ‘The Bunker’, at the base of Boreal Mountain Resort just off I-80. The Bunker offers multi-level Olympic trampolines, a Super Tramp, a concrete skate park for skateboarding and BMX biking, a pump track and skatelite ramps to foam pits for freeski, snowboard, BMX and skateboard training.  Additional outdoor facilities are available for use including the modular skatepark and BMX dirt track called ‘The Trenches’. On August 1, 2013, Woodward Tahoe broke ground on an outdoor 3-pocket combi skatebowl which is scheduled to be completed in September. The Pump Track, located inside The Bunker, is undergoing renovations with proposed completion in October. Woodward Tahoe is committed to providing the highest quality action sports facilities and will continue to expand the campus in the future.

The Bunker Pass is valid for unlimited daily usage based on capacity at the Woodward Tahoe facility from August 23, 2013 thru mid-April 2014.  The Bunker Pass also includes a CORE Membership (value $49) which enables you to access ‘Basic Training’ sessions daily.  Basic Training is designed to teach you everything you need to know in order to safely use the facilities while also giving you a solid dose of skill development.  Each zone in the Woodward Tahoe Bunker has specific training and guests will need to be approved in each area prior to use.  The Bunker pass is only available to participants aged seven years of age and older.
