Boreal Mountain Resort and Killington Resort to Open Unique Themed Neff Lands

Park City, Utah (December 18, 2013) – Powdr, a leading mountain resort owner and operator and lifestyle sports company, and Neff Headwear, a leader in the youth accessory and apparel market, today announced a four-year exclusive partnership to expand its one-of-a-kind themed Neff Land terrain parks to other Powdr Resorts. Introduced at Park City Mountain Resort during the 2012-13 season, Neff Land will expand to Boreal Mountain Resort in California and Killington Resort in Vermont for the 2013-14 season.

Each Neff Land will have a unique theme and will be a working collaboration between Neff’s design team and the resort’s innovative terrain park teams.

"It was a dream come true to launch Neff Land at Park City Mountain Resort last season,” said Shaun Neff, chief executive officer of Neff Headwear. “Now to have the opportunity to build uniquely themed Neff Lands across the country, with the best terrain park builders around, is truly an honor. Powdr Resorts have the vision, creativity, and expertise we look for in a partner and together we are going to build the best parks on earth."

Park City Mountain Resort’s candy-themed Neff Land, located off of Eagle Lift, will return with its iconic candy cane rail and oversized cupcake plus a few new features. It is scheduled to open the end of December 2013.

“Neff Land was a huge hit for us last season, pros and guests were equally stoked to hit it,” said Jeremy Cooper, terrain park manager at Park City Mountain Resort. “Hooking Neff’s creative team up with our park crew made for a one of a kind park – we’re excited to bring it back with some new surprises this season.”

Boreal Mountain Resort’s pirate-themed Neff Land, located in the area serviced by Flying Dutchman chairlift, will boast over 30 custom features including a life-sized ship helm, cannons, pirates, and more. It is scheduled to open the middle of January 2014, conditions permitting.

"Partnering with a creative brand such as Neff is a dream come true for us at Boreal,” said Eric Rosenwald, director of action sports brand management at Boreal Mountain Resort. “We have long been known for some of the most unique terrain parks in Tahoe and this collaboration of ideas and resources is just going to be over the top. Tahoe riders have never seen anything like what we have in store for them!"

Killington Resort’s space-themed Neff Land, located on the Timberline Trail off of the Ramshead Express chairlift, will have custom features including a spaceship, rockets, planets, aliens, and more. It is scheduled to open in early January 2014.

“We are very excited to work with Neff in creating a Neff Land at Killington,” said Jay ‘Rosey” Rosenbaum, terrain park manager at Killington Resort. “This park will bring an extra blast of fun that will be out of this world.”

During the term of the partnership, which extends into 2017, Neff Land terrain parks will be exclusive to Powdr Resorts.
