For Immediate Release Contact: Jon Slaughter/Nicole Shearer Boreal Mountain Resort pr@borealski.com 530.426.3666 x184/530.550.2252 Get On the Slopes Without Breaking the Bank DONNER SUMMIT, Calif. (January 22, 2008), - While skiing and snowboarding are both popular winter traditions, everyone knows a day on the slopes can often break the bank. Boreal Mountain Resort is aiming to change that by offering skiers and snowboarders new affordable lift ticket options day and night. Boreal’s iRIDE card automatically saves guests money. Skiers and riders simply need to purchase an adult all day lift ticket at Boreal on any two days during the 2007/2008 season and they’ll receive their third day free. Days for this card do not have to be consecutive. (One adult lift ticket per iRIDE cardholder, per day, not valid with any other discount or offer.) To receive the iRIDE card, guests simply need to sign up online at www.rideboreal.com. At Boreal, an all day lift ticket allows skiers and riders access to the mountain from morning through night. Those with trouble finding the time to make it out on the slopes during the day can grab their gear and head to the resort for night riding. Every day from 3:30 –9 p.m., Boreal lights up allowing everyone the opportunity to throw down in the park and get some turns in before the day’s end. Cost for night riding is $25 for adults and $12 for children. Parents will undoubtedly appreciate the Parent Shared Ticket, allowing adults the ability to share a single day pass, so parents can balance time with their toddlers. And because Boreal understands how hard it can be for college students to pay for groceries, let alone a lift ticket, the resort offers $15 lift tickets every Friday with a college student ID. Beginner skiers and snowboarders can take advantage of one of Boreal’s many lesson packages. A beginner lift ticket allows customers to ride the new Moving Carpet, Nugget, Gunnar’s, Claimjumper chairlifts. Cost for a children’s beginner ski and snowboard package is $55 non-holiday and includes a 1.75 hour lesson, beginner lift ticket and equipment rental. Adult group beginner ski and snowboard packages (age 13 and up) cost $65 and also include a beginner lift ticket, equipment rental and 1.75 hour lesson. In addition to great deals and programs, Boreal Mountain Resort consistently offers some of the best season pass and daily lift ticket pricing in Lake Tahoe. For a complete list of pass prices and more information visit www.rideboreal.com or call 530-426-3666. Boreal offers the closest, most convenient access off Interstate 80 atop Donner Summit, just 90 minutes from Sacramento, 35 minutes from Reno and only six minutes from Truckee. Boreal Mountain Resort offsets 100 percent of its electricity by purchasing green power. # # #
