Boreal Extends Remarkably Snowy Season

During the month of March Boreal received 248 inches of snowfall taking the total season snowfall to 766 inches. Thanks to the timing and amount of snowfall, Boreal has announced plans to continue the ski/snowboard season late into the spring. Boreal has extended daily operations to April 24th, plus plans are in place to operate weekends only (Friday – Sunday) during the month of May (as conditions permit). The traditional end of night operations has also been extended to April 9th, after which Boreal will operate from 9am – 4pm. See the operating schedule below. Boreal Mountain Resort Spring Operating Schedule (conditions/business levels permitting) Current Date – 4/9/11 7 days/week, 9am – 9pm - 4 lifts with top-to-bottom terrain - Terrain Parks/Superpipe/BagJump - Lessons/Rentals/F&B - Playland Tubing - Sun. – Thurs., 10am – 4pm, - Fri. & Sat., 10am – 8pm 4/10/11 – 4/24/11 7 days/week, 9am – 4pm - 4 lifts with top-to-bottom terrain - Terrain Parks/Superpipe/BagJump - Lessons/Rentals/F&B - Playland Tubing 10am – 4pm 4/30/11 – End of May Fri. – Sun., 9am – 4pm* *4pm closing time is subject to change based on conditions. - 2 lifts with top-to-bottom terrain - Terrain Parks/Superpipe/BagJump - Rentals/F&B - Playland Tubing 10am – 2pm - Reduced lift ticket pricing $15 for ALL: Every Friday for the rest of the season, all lift tickets are only $15. “We are really excited to head into this spring with so much snow,” stated Jon Slaughter, Boreal Marketing Director. “With all the storms in March our guests have not had the opportunity to enjoy traditional California spring skiing. Now they can late into May!” Boreal is always the first resort to turn its lift early in October, and has now set its sights on being one of the last to close during the 2010/2011 ski season. “We want our guests and passholders to get the most out of our record season,” said Jody Churich, General Manager.
