Boreal Does it in October Once Again

Boreal will roll one lift and open one run this Friday, October 29th. Cementing a commitment to early season skiing and riding, Boreal will be the first ski resort in California to open for the 2010/11 winter season. On Friday, October 29th Boreal will operate the Nugget chair lift from 9am to 4pm. Boreal will offer Frickin’ Fridays to All: $15 lift tickets for all ages. Frickin’ Friday’s is traditionally a discount only offered on Fridays to college students with a valid college ID. Boreal will offer one groomed trail, and one terrain park line featuring four to five features Beginning Saturday, October 30th, Boreal will run two lifts, two groomed runs and two terrain park lines, as conditions permit. Lift tickets for children ages 5-12 will be $15, adults ages 13 and up will be $30. All season passholders welcome, or buy a pass on-site at Boreal’s Last Chance Pass Sale which ends October 31st. Resort services will be available including food, beverages, rentals, and retail. Gated access to the mountain, valid lift tickets and passes permitted in the gated area only. Lift tickets subject to sell out. Due to limited terrain, no beginner terrain or ski school will be available this weekend. To celebrate the beginning of the season, the 6th Annual Jibassic Public Invitational (JPI.6) will take place on Friday, October 29th from 5pm – 8pm. This season JPI.6 will be open to the public. Boreal is set with $1,000 cash to be handed out on Friday night in the public park, open to all and built to Boreal terrain park perfection.
