1-2-3 Ride Free Frequently Asked Questions:

 

How do I sign up for Boreal's 1-2-3 Ride Free Program?

Simply arrive at Boreal to take your first lesson.  At the end of your lesson you will be handed an instructor evaluation card which you can use to enroll into the program.

 

Do I have to attend every lesson?

Yes.  To complete the 1-2-3 Ride Free Program you must complete all three lessons from start to finish.

Do I have to stay through my whole lesson?

Yes. You must stay until the end of the lesson in order to get your evaluation card with instructions on how to continue in the program.

 

Can I take more than one lesson in a day?

Yes, however only one lesson per day will be applied toward the 1-2-3 Ride Free program.

 

What time are the lessons for 1-2-3 Ride Free?

Lesson times begin at 10:15am, 12:15pm and 2:30pm Friday - Sun & holidays, or 10:15am and 1:15pm Monday - Thursday, non-holiday.

 

Can I upgrade to a full mountain lift ticket after my first lesson?

No.  The program is intended for beginners only.  If you are truly a beginner you will have no need to explore the mountain until you become more skilled in the sport of your choice.

 

What is a limited lift ticket?

A limited lift ticket is for beginners only.  The lift ticket limits your skiing and snowboarding to two lifts only: Castle Peak Quad and Nugget.  See the section of Boreal's trail map highlighted in green.

 

Can I give my "lesson credits" to someone else?

No.  All visits are non-transferable.

 

Can I give my season pass to someone else?

No.  Season passes are non-transferable.

 

Is it okay to bring my own equipment?

Yes.  However, there is no additional discount for bringing your own equipment.

 

Is this program available for Kids Club lessons?

Yes.  The 1-2-3 Ride Free program is available for ages 4 and up.

 

Can I switch between skiing and snowboarding?

Yes, after your first lesson you may choose to continue skiing or snowboarding or switch the sport of your choice.

 

Can I take the three lessons over more than one season?

No. All lessons must be taken within the 2011/2012 season.

 

What if I can already ski or snowboard?

The program is intended for beginning skiers and snowboards only.  If you already know how to ski or snowboard Boreal offers many other options including affordable season passes and the iRide Card.  Private lessons are also offered for those looking to continue learning.

Scheduled Closing Day
